I woke up to the sound of a clock and climbed out of bed I get dressed grab my books and walk downstairs dad is there in the kitchen making some breakfast, I could see Cassidy outside doing some quick hustle with laundry I sat down and ate breakfast I had to rush out the door as soon as I was finished and wait for my siblings to walk to school it wasn't that fare however it was through a big forest meaning we had to walk I wasn't surprised though we used to have to do it back in New Jersey. We moved due to some money issues. I guess Papa just wanted to move so we could have a better life than what we did and it already feels great saying goodbye to my friend Sydney was tough. I wish she was here so I could walk to school but I guess walking with my sister means I'm safe. I see Cassidy and my sister walk out the door waving goodbye to papa. She held my hand and we would walk to school together though I'm perfectly fine walking by myself but sadly dad just thinks it's safer considering we have to walk through a forest though I understand. Papa works at a bank in this town so usually after school all of my siblings would have to walk over there and stand outside being patient waiting for him to leave for safety. When we got here my papa ought a fairly nice house that has a huge farm of land. We arrived at the Schoolhouse and were learning about the "Geography" of the world which to me is pretty boring. I do have to say I am fairly good in class. James my big brother had to help out with teaching today I heard it's pretty fun to do when your older and wiser so that's why I'm trying to do good in class I would love to be a teacher one day and who knows maybe teach little children about my life before coming to Oregon which will certainly be a tale for sure.
Answer:
The correct answer is: "Fluid intelligence is to mechanics as crystallized intelligence is to pragmatics."
Explanation:
There are two components in the Models of Cognition that make a distinction between Mechanics and Pragmatics.
In the mechanics of cognition, maturation, stability, and aging-induced decline are the most common age-graded ontogenetic patterns. Early and late in ontogeny, genetic and other brain status-related variables are thought to have a substantial effect on this component, but in fundamentally different ways. The mechanics of cognition represent the central nervous system's underlying organizing characteristics.
The pragmatics of the mind, in contrast to the mechanics, demonstrate the strength of human agency and culture. The acquisition of culturally transmitted bodies of declarative and procedural information that are made available to individuals in the course of social development is reflected in developmental changes in this component. Some of these socialization experiences are universal (like mentoring), while others are idiosyncratic or person-specific (for example, specialized professional knowledge).
Short-term memory and abstract thought make up fluid intelligence, which tends to deteriorate in late adulthood.
Crystallized intelligence, on the other hand, is a type of intelligence that consists of collected information based on verbal skills, and it tends to rise with age.
Therefore, fluid intelligence is to mechanics as crystallized intelligence is to pragmatics.
