Sarah has 273 feet of wire to make bead necklaces. If each necklace requires 1 2/3 feet of wire, how many necklaces can she make
o-na [289]

Oh boy, here we go again

First we must convert  1 2/3 to an improper fraction.  By doing this, we get 5/3  (3/3 + 2/3)

So now we have 273 /  5/3

To divide this easier we can do something that when I learned it was called (keep, change, flip)  which basically means keep the first fraction, change the sign from division to multiplication, and flip the second fraction

This now turns into:  273/1 * 3/5

Combine 273 and 3/5

273⋅3/5

Multiply 273

by 3

819/5

is your answer

1.Find the next three terms in the sequence. -2 , -5 , -8, -11 , ...
nikklg [1K]
The next 3 terms would be: -14, -17, and -20 (the pattern is your -3 each time) the 100th term would be -279 i think because there is 93 spots left after the first 7 terms, so 93 x -3 = -279

The classic 60° triangle has a hypotenuse of length 2, an opposite side of length √3 and an adjacent side of length 1....find th
makvit [3.9K]

The trigonometric values for cos are C = A/H, which means that to find cos(60), you need to divide the adjacent side by the hypotenuse, which in this case gives you 1/2, so that is the value of cos(60).

I hope this helps!

A movie theater sold 1200 tickets and made $6400 in one night. If an adult ticket costs $7 and a children's ticket costs $3, how
ExtremeBDS [4]
So the total number of movie tickets sold was 1200. This means that a + c = 1200 because a represents the number of adult tickets purchased and c represents the number of child tickets purchased. The total money they made off the movie was $6400. This means 7 multiplied by the number of adult tickets would result in the total they earned off adult tickets, and 3 multiplied by the number of child tickets would result in the total they earned off child tickets. This total equals 6400. So 7a + 3c = 6400. These are our two equations: a + c = 1200 and 7a + 3c = 6400. The answer choice that matches this is choice A, so your answer is A. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask more questions, or ask more questions about my explanation.
