The pressure that will be exerted if four sample of gas are placed in a single 3.5 container is calculated as below
if each gas occupies 675 mmhg
what about 4 gases in the sample
by cross multiplication
= 675 mm hg x 4/1 = 2.7 x10^3mmhg (answer D)
Don't really know if this is what your asking but P1/T1= P2/T2 should show how the pressure varies with temperature (V is left out because it's constant since the gas is trapped in an aerosol can). As the temperature rises the pressure rises and if it gets too high then the can explodes, which is why it should be stored in a cool place. There's also PV=nRT might be kind of hard to find moles (n) though.
From the periodic table:
molecular mass of carbon = 12 grams
molecular mass of fluorine = 18.99 grams
molecular mass of chlorine = 35.5 grams
Therefore:
one mole of CF2Cl2 = 12 + 2(18.99) + 2(35.5) = 120.98 grams
Therefore, we can use cross multiplication to find the number of moles in 79.34 grams as follows:
mass = (79.34 x 1) / 120.98 = 0.6558 moles
Now, one mole contains 6.022 x 10^23 molecules, therefore:
number of molecules in 0.65548 moles = 0.6558 x 6.022 x 10^23
= 3.949 x 10^23 molecules
In conduction, the thermal energy of a particle is transferred to other particles throughout the solid. The particles with more energy are transferred to those with less.
Answer:
1.88 × 10²² Molecules of CO
Explanation:
At STP for an ideal gas,
Volume = Mole × 22.4 L/mol
Or,
Mole = Volume / 22.4 L/mol
Mole = 0.7 L / 22.4 L/mol
Mole = 0.03125 moles
Now,
No. of Molecules = Moles × 6.022 × 10²³ Molecules/mol
No. of Molecules = 0.03125 × 6.022 × 10²³ Molecules/mol
No. of Molecules = 1.88 × 10²² Molecules of CO
