What is the slope of a line perpendicular to 24x-9y=63
Gelneren [198K]
In order to find the slop it is probably best to put the equation in y=mx+b form. This means to get y by itself on one side.
24x-9y=63 will then become -9y=63-24x in which y has been isolated.
Then you should divided by -9 to get the final form: y=24x/9 -63/9.
Now you can get the slope of the perpendicular line by taking the slope of the original equation and finding its reciprocal which is -9/24x. This is your answer.

Area of Composed Figures - Quiz-Level G
4vir4ik [10]

The number of square feet of the carpet is the area of the carpet

The number of square feet of outdoor carpet is 32 feet

How to determine the number of square feet

To do this, we simply divide the carpet to regular shapes.

The outdoor carpet can be divided to the following shapes from top to bottom

  • Rectangle of 4 ft by 2 ft
  • Rectangle of 6 ft by 2 ft
  • Rectangle of 6 ft by 2 ft

So, the area of the outdoor carpet is:

Area = 4 * 2 + 6 * 2 + 6 * 2

This gives

Area = 32

Hence, the number of square feet of outdoor carpet is 32 feet

The perimeter of the original triangle is 48 inches. What is the perimeter of the reduced triangle? ((the answer that i put in i
jonny [76]
The length of the hypotenuse equals to the square root of the sum of the square of the other two sides.
12x12+16x16=144+256=400
The square root of 400 is 20.

By the same way, you can find the length of the hypotenuse of the reduced triangle
9x9+12x12=81+144=225
The square root of 225 is 15
The length of the hypotenuse is 15

The perimeter =12+9+15
The perimeter=36

Brut [27]
Unfortunately, you failed to show the diagram in the question or any link that would somehow lead us to the diagram. However, to answer the question we can make use of the equation,
                                     A = 0.5Pa
where A is area, P is perimeter and a is the apothem.
