Answer:

The troposphere starts at the Earth's surface and extends 8 to 14.5 kilometers high (5 to 9 miles). This part of the atmosphere is the most dense. Almost all weather is in this region. The stratosphere starts just above the troposphere and extends to 50 kilometers (31 miles) high.

The stratosphere is a layer of Earth's atmosphere. It is the second layer of the atmosphere as you go upward. The troposphere, the lowest layer, is right below the stratosphere. The next higher layer above the stratosphere is the mesosphere

What is the value that corresponds to the number of atom
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

6.022 x 10²³

Explanation:

Data Given:

mass of carbon = 12.01 g

individual particles = 6.02 x 10²³

number of atoms = ?

Solution:

Formula used to find the number of atoms

                no. of moles = number of atoms / 6.022 x 10²³ . . . . . (1)

So, first we have to find number of moles

Formula to find no. of moles

               no. of moles = mass in grams/ molar mass. . . . . (2)

molar mass of Carbon = 12.01 g/mol

Put values in eq.2

            no. of moles = 12.01 g / 12.01 g/mol

no. of moles = 1 mol

Now put the values in eq. 1

                no. of moles = number of atoms / 6.022 x 10²³ . . . . . (1)

                    1 mol = number of atoms / 6.022 x 10²³

Rearrange the above equation

               number of atoms = 1 mol x 6.022 x 10²³

                number of atoms = 6.022 x 10²³

So it is 6.022 x 10²³ atoms in 12.01 grams of carbon. This 6.022 x 10²³ also Known as Avogadro's number that is one mole of any substance consists this number of atoms.

Answer: FeO is called ferrous oxide while Fe2O3 is ferric oxide

Explanation:

Ferrous oxide, commonly known as iron(II) oxide contains iron that lost 2 elections in the oxidation process. So it is able to bond with other atoms that have an extra 2 electrons to share. Ferric oxide, is commonly known as iron(III) oxide
