Think of the entire population of 6th graders here. 3/7 are boys and 4/7 are girls. 5/8 of these boys are in Ms. Jones' class; that fraction would be (5/8)(3/7), or 15/56. This 15/56 represents the fraction of the entire sixth grade class who are in Ms. Jones' class.

Answer:   \dfrac{15}{56} of the entire six grade are the boys in Ms. Jones' class.

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that in six grade class, \dfrac{3}{7} of the students are boys and \dfrac{5}{8} of these boys are in Ms. Jones' class.

We are to find the fraction of the entire class that are boys in Ms. Jones' class.

Let total number of students in six grade class be n.

Then, the number of boys in the six grade class will be

n_s=\dfrac{3}{7}x=\dfrac{3x}{7}.

Therefore, the number of boys in s. Jones' class is given by

n_J=\dfrac{5}{8}\imes n_s=\dfrac{5}{8}\times\dfrac{3x}{7}=\dfrac{15}{56}x.

Thus, \dfrac{15}{56} of the entire six grade are the boys in Ms. Jones' class.

Answer:

a) well we know the hypotenuse and we know that all sides are 90 degrees, and that its an even square, so if we split it into a triangle , we know that the other 2 angles are 45 degrees total, with this we can calculate  the other 2 sides, which round to 10 inches.

b) if we know the sides of the first side, knowing the fact that its a square we know that all sides are even, therefore, all sides are 10 inches, the formula the finding the perimeter is basic:

P=L(2) + W(2)

L being length, W being width and P being perimeter

so we add up all 4 sides, here is the equation:

10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 10 x 4 = 40

With this, we know that the perimeter is 40 inches total

c) knowing how long the sides are, we can figure out the area through another basic formula:

A=L X W

With A meaning Area

since its a square, we know all the sides are even, so the width and length are both 10...

10 X 10 = 100

Let the number of large bookcases be x and number of small bookcases be y, then
Maximise P = 80x + 50y;
subkect to:
6x + 2y ≤ 24
x, y ≥ 2

The corner points are (2, 2), (2, 6), (3.333, 2)
For (2, 2): P = 80(2) + 50(2) = 160 + 100 = 260
For (2, 6): P = 80(2) + 50(6) = 160 + 300 = 460
For (3.333, 2): P = 80(3.333) + 50(2) = 266.67 + 100 = 366.67

Therefore, for maximum profit, he should produce 2 large bookcases and 6 small bookcases.
