Answer:

If aerobic respiration occurs, then ATP will be produced using the energy of the high-energy electrons carried by NADH or FADH2 to the electron transport chain. If aerobic respiration does not occur, NADH must be reoxidized to NAD+ for reuse as an electron carrier for glycolysis to continue. How is this done? Some living systems use an organic molecule as the final electron acceptor. Processes that use an organic molecule to regenerate NAD+ from NADH are collectively referred to as fermentation. In contrast, some living systems use an inorganic molecule as a final electron acceptor; both methods are a type of anaerobic cellular respiration. Anaerobic respiration enables organisms to convert energy for their use in the absence of oxygen.

What are three of the human body's defensive barriers and how do they keep the human body healthy
Lera25 [3.4K]
Natural barriers include the skin, mucous membranes, tears, earwax, mucus, and stomach acid. Also, the normal flow of urine washes out microorganisms that enter the urinary tract. The immune system uses white blood cells and antibodies to identify and eliminate organisms that get through the body's natural barriers.

The reason for the existence and orientation of the net charge across the membrane is that:
dangina [55]

Typically, a cell electric potential across the cell membrane varies between -40mV and -80mV. The electric potential in cells such as the neuron enable the cells to transduce the electric signal from stimuli across the nervous system. In other cells, the electric potential powers the running of molecular devices such as the flagella motor in sperm cells

If you saw hairy lichens growing on a tree what would be quality of air in that area
hichkok12 [17]

Lichens are widely used as environmental indicators or bio-indicators. If air is very badly polluted with sulphur dioxide there may be no lichens present, just green algae may be found. Therefore the answer is the air quality is good because of no lichens present
