as part of her shop class, Jules made the figure below out of pieces of wood. how much spave does the figure she made take up?
OlgaM077 [116]
I suppose you want to find the Volume of this Figure.

you can separate it into two rectangular prisms
one that is 6 by 9 by 24
and the other that is 6 by 9 by 30

you multiply the three numbers to get the volume of each rectangular prism.
6 * 9 * 24 = 1296
6 * 9 * 30 = 1620

then we add the two numbers we got to get the overall volume of the figure
1296 + 1620 = 2916

Therefore the Figure takes up 2916 cm^3 of space.

Crazy boy [7]

Answer:

The number that cannot be the largest possible 6-digit number is;

(D) AAABCB

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, we have;

A, B, and C = Distinct digits, therefore, A ≠ B ≠ C

The number of digits in the number to be formed = 6 digits

The number of 'A' in the number to be formed = 3

The number of 'B' in the number to be formed = 2

The number of 'C' in the number to be formed = 1

We have;

When A > B > C

The largest possible number = AAABBC

When C > A > B

The largest possible number = CAAABB

When B > A > C

The largest possible number = BBAAAC

When A > C > B

The largest possible number = AAACBB

Therefore, given that when A > B > C, the largest possible number = AAABBC, we have;

AAABBC > AAABCB, because B > C, therefore, within the tens and unit of the two 6 digit numbers, we have, BC > CB

∴ AAABBC > AAABCB and AAABCB, cannot be the largest possible 6-digit number

a fair (6 sided) die is rolled TWO times. What is the probability that the first die is a 2 or the second die is a prime
alexdok [17]

Answer:

The probability that the first die is a 2 or the second die is a prime = 1/12

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,a fair (6 sided) die is rolled TWO times.

The sample space for rolling 2 dies

(1, 1), (1, 2) .......... (1,6)

(2,1) ..........................

.

.

(6, 1) ..........................(6, 6)

There are total of 6^2 = 36 sample space

To find the probability

The prime numbers from 1 to 6 are 2, 3 and 5

the possible outcomes are(2,1), (2, 3) and (2, 5)

The probability that the first die is a 2 or the second die is a prime = 3/36 = 1/12

Match each area to its corresponding radius or diameter of the circle.(All areas are approximate.) )
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

Radius: 12 units

 • Area: πr² = 3.14*12² = 452.16 square units

Diameter: 16.8 units

 • Area: πd²/4 = 3.14*16.8²/4 = 221.5584 square units

Radius: 3.4 units

 • Area: πr² = 3.14*3.4² = 452.16 square units

Diameter: 10 units

 • Area: πd²/4 = 3.14*10²/4 = 78.5 square units
