Each organism is unique because of genetic variation. Each set of genes we inherit from our parents codes for a specific trait. And our DNA is a blueprint for these traits. Not everybody contains the same genes and that is why we are all so beautifully unique.
We see the moon because the sun's light reflects off it. So the phases change depending on how much the sun reflects of it. The moon circles around the Earth so at certain times there will be a full moon and at certain times a new moon and everything in between.
A person can only show a recessive trait if both of their parents carried at least one copy of each of the recessive allele. The parents do not need to show the trait, as one copy is not enough to reveal it, but they must both carry it.
