Describe two factors that contributed to the feelings of nationalism in the early 1800's and two factors that contributes to fee
stiks02 [169]

Answer:

Two factors that contributed to the feelings of nationalism were: The National Anthem "Star Spangled Banner" and the thought that the Nation should come first. Two factors that contributed to feelings of sectionalism were: "I Wish I Was in Dixie," a southern song of pride and the thought of putting regional interest first.

Explanation:

In the early 1800s, these factors contributed largely to the feelings of Nationalism and Sectionalism. Looking at the factors that gave birth to Nationalism, the national anthem is a source of pride for the people which makes them feel united. It is National pride. That's what the anthem "Star Spangled Banner" also stood for. Secondly, the thought that the Nation comes first is seen in the war of 1812 when Francis Scott Key wrote the national anthem after the White House was burnt. The factors giving rise to sectionalism stress on regional identity and putting regional interest first. The first is expressed through the Southern song "I Wish I Was in Dixie" and the second is conveyed through keeping slavery in the South versus the North for free labour.
