Which of these object will exert the greatest gravitational force on a box, if the distance between them remains the same.

Solution :

We know, gravitation force between two object is given by :

F = \dfrac{Gm M}{d^2}

Here m, G and d are constant.

From the above equation we can see that if every other thing remains constant the gravitations force remains constant if mass of other plant increase.

Therefore, object of mass 8 kg will exert the greatest gravitational force on a box.
