A hot air balloon company charges for evening sunset flights are based on the function y=25x +100, where x is the number of peop

le traveling in the basket (note the baskey capacity limit is 8) and y is the cost of the trip in dollar. What is the base fee for the balloon ride before passengers are figured in? What does the 25 represent? What is the cost for 5 people to fly?

I think;
25 and 100 represents a fee

So 25x5=125

125+100=225

y=225

Solve the equation.<br><br> −23x+37=12
Ksenya-84 [330]

Answer:

x=25/23

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's solve your equation step-by-step.

−23x+37=12

Step 1: Subtract 37 from both sides.

−23x+37−37=12−37

−23x=−25

Step 2: Divide both sides by -23.

x=25/23

A line has a slope of -13. There is a second line that passes through points (-7,-5) and (6,-4) . Would these lines be parallel
Elza [17]
<h3>Answer: The lines are perpendicular</h3>

=================================================

Work Shown:

Use the slope formula to find the slope of the line through the two given points.

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

m = (-4 - (-5))/(6 - (-7))

m = (-4 + 5)/(6 + 7)

m = 1/13

The slope of the line through the two given points is 1/13.

This is not equal to -13, which was the slope of the first line, so the two lines are not parallel.

However, the two lines are perpendicular because multiplying the two slope values leads to -1

(slope1)*(slope2) = (-13)*(1/13) = -1

note: It might help to think of -13 as -13/1 to help multiply the fractions.

Help me please past due! Complete all 5 problems in simplest form and tell me what you did
Sonbull [250]
3/6= 1/2 because 3 is the half of 6 and 1 is the half of 2

5/20= 1/4 because 1 x 5= 5 and 4 x 5= 20

9/27= 1/3 because 1 x 9 =9 and 3 x 9=27

1/2 is the simplest form already

12/36= 1/3 because 1 x 12= 12 and 3 x 12= 36

8. Solve for x. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.<br> 8.6<br> 4<br> x<br> 0176
earnstyle [38]

Answer:

C. 9.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The Pythagorean Theorem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2.

4^2 + 8.6^2 = c^2

16 + 73.96 = c^2

c^2 = 89.96

c = 9.4847....

4. k/6 = 8/16 5. 5.4/7 = 27/h 6. 8/11 = 4/y+2
kupik [55]

Answer:

4. k=3\\

5. h=35

6. \frac{7}{2} or 3.5

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{k}{6}=\frac{8}{16}

Multiply those 2 values whose diagonal has both terms and divide by the term whose diagonal has the variable.

k=\frac{8*6}{16}\\ k=\frac{48}{16}\\ k=3

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

\frac{5.4}{7}=\frac{27}{h}

h=\frac{7*27}{5.4} \\h=\frac{189}{5.4}\\ h=35

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

\frac{8}{11}=\frac{4}{y+2}

y+2=\frac{11*4}{8}\\ y=\frac{11*4}{8}-2\\y=\frac{44}{8}-2 \\y=\frac{11}{2}-2\\ y=\frac{11-2*2}{2}\\ y=\frac{11-4}{2}\\ y=\frac{7}{2}=3.5
