10×5+4 2 +(5+30÷10) Order Of Operations

Mathematics
1 answer:
Oxana [17]2 years ago
8 0

Answer:

100.

Step-by-step explanation:

When an equation like this shows ip, the best way to solve it is by using B(brackets) I(indices*such as minus numbers) D(divide) M(multiply) A(add) S(subtract)

So we would do, (5+30÷10) first, because B(brackets is first). Divide comes before add, so we do 30÷10 first which is, 3. Then we do 5+3, which is 8. Now we would do the other section, 10x5+42. We do 10x5 first (becuase multiply is before add) which is, 50. Then we do, 50+42 which is, 92. Now with both our final answers we add them together, 92+8=100.

Hope this helped in some way (p.s this is how I do it in my school)

If a triangle has side lengths 7, 10, and 12, is it a right triangle??
Vesnalui [34]

Answer:

No. Remember, a right angle must have a 90 degree angle. We can find the lengths with the Pythagorean Theorem.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the length 7, 10, and 12, we can assume that 12 is the hypotenuse (it is the longest length).

- we can use 7 and 10 interchangeably.

Fill in the equation, a^2 + b^2 = c^2

                 where c = 12, and a or b = 7 or 10.

To indicate if the given lengths would form a right angle, we can only input 7 or 10, not both.

Therefore, 7^2 + b^2 = 12^2 or 10^2 + b^2 = 12^2

7^2 + b^2 = 12^2 ==> 49 + b^2 = 144 ==> b= \sqrt{95 ==> 9.746

b= 9.7, not 10.

10^2 + b^2 = 12^2 ==> 100 + b^2 = 144 ==> b = \sqrt{44 ==> 6.633

b= 6.6, not 7.

Therefore, the lengths 7, 10, and 12, does NOT make a right triangle.

Hope this helps!

. Curt is installing a picket fence around his garden which is 45.45 ft by 14.63 ft. When he gets to the hardware store he finds
Dmitriy789 [7]
The fence must have two sides of length 45.45 ft and two sides of length 14.63

To cover each of 45.45 ft long side, he will need 45.45 / 2 = 22.7 slats which approximates to 23. So, they are 2 * 23 = 46 slats.

To cover each of 14.63 ft sides, he will need 14.63 / 2 = 7.3 which approximates to 8 (to not leave any spaces between each slat). So, they are 2 * 8 = 16 slats.

That makes 46 + 16 = 62 slats.

Answer: around 62 slats.

Is the fraction 1/3 equivalent to a terminating decimal or a decimal that does not terminate
umka21 [38]
1/3 is equivalent to a decimal that does not terminate. A terminating decimal is one that ends. Some decimals never end, however. If you divide 1 by 3 using the standard algorithm, you will get 0.333333... repeating forever. This is a non-terminating decimal, or repeating decimal. In contrast, 1/4 is equal to 0.25, which is a terminal decimal.
