In a nuclear reactor the uranium fuel is assembled in such a way that a controlled fission chain reaction can be achieved. The heat created by splitting the U-235 atoms is then used to make steam which spins a turbine to drive a generator, producing electricity. So I am guessing Yes it does.

of changing from rising to falling.  At that exact point, its vertical speed is zero,
so the 14 m/s must be all horizontal velocity.  That's not going to change.

Since we need to consider changes in vertical speed now, we need to make
some assumption about where this is all happening, so that we know the
acceleration of gravity.  I'll assume that it's all happening on or near the Earth,
and the acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s².

I'm also going to neglect air resistance.

a). 1.2 sec before it reaches its maximum height, the projectile is rising
at a vertical speed of (1.2 x 9.8) = 11.76 m/s. 
The magnitude of its velocity is

the square root of (14² + 11.76²) = 18.28 m/s, directed about 40° above horizontal.

b).  1.2 sec after it reaches its maximum height, the projectile is falling
at a vertical speed of (1.2 x 9.8) = 11.76 m/s. 
The magnitude of its velocity is

the square root of (14² + 11.76²) = 18.28 m/s, directed about 40° below horizontal.

Newton's law of conservation states that energy of an isolated system  remains a constant. It can neither be created nor destroyed but can be transformed  from one form to the other.

Implying the above law of conservation of energy in the case of pendulum we can conclude that at the bottom of the swing the entire potential energy gets converted to kinetic energy. Also the potential energy is zero at this point.

Mathematically also potential energy is represented as

Potential energy= mgh

Where m is the mass of the pendulum.

g is the acceleration due to gravity

h is the height from the bottom z the ground.

At the bottom of the swing,the height is zero, hence the potential energy is also zero.

The kinetic energy is represented mathematically as

Kinetic energy= 1/2 mv^2

Where m is the mass of the pendulum

v is the velocity of the pendulum

At the bottom the pendulum has the maximum velocity. Hence the kinetic energy is maximum at the bottom.

Also as it has been mentioned energy can neither be created nor destroyed hence the entire potential energy is converted to kinetic energy at the bottom and would be equivalent to 895 J.
