musickatia [10]

answer:

1. yes

2. no

3. yes

4. no

step-by-step explanation:

  • for 1, yes because no matter what they are the signs are still the same
  • for 2, no because the signs have changed — 2/5 is positive now
  • yes because even though there is addition now, the signs are the same. when you use kcc (keep change change), the sign changes to +
  • no, because the coefficient for p is changed, which won't be true or give us the same result

This is gonna be the death of me
kykrilka [37]
Hey!
So you have a net of the figure. It's broken into several 2D shapes. What you an do it find the area of each shape and add it together.
Triangles:
A = (b*h)/2
A= (5 * 3) / 2
A = 15/2
same thing for the second one
15/2 * 2 = 15
Don't forget, there are 2 triangles so it's really 15 for both

Rectangles:
A=b*h
A= 7*5
A=35

A=7*5
A=35

A=3*7
A=21

35+35+21=91

Now add the sum of the area of the triangles and the sum of the area of the rectangles

91+15 = 106

106 is the surface area
Hope this helps!

Find two consecutive numbers whose squares differ by 45
Wittaler [7]

Answer:

The 2 numbers are 22 and 23

Step-by-step explanation:

let the two numbers be x and x+1

according to the question:

(x+1)^2 - x^2 = 45

x^2+1+2x - x^2 = 45

2x + 1 = 45

2x= 44

x = 22

the other number is x+1 = 22+1 = 23

therefore, the two consecutive numbers are 22 and 23

Hope it helped u....
