How to solve these, you divide the number multiplied by x by both sides.

1. Divide 2/3 by both sides, and you get y = 30.

2. Divide 0.2 by both sides, and you get x = -80

3. Divide 0.8 by both sides, and you get n = 2.5

4. Divide 3/4 by both sides, and you get m = 16

5. Divide -0.4 by both sides, and you get k = -70

6. Divide 3/5 by both sides, and you get h = -10

7. Divide -0.5 by both sides, and you get y = 40

8. Divide 3/5 by both sides, and you get x = 20

I hope this helped! For the fractions, just divide the fraction and divide by both sides with the decimal, and you will get the answer!

Write an equation to describe this situation using decimals. “Tessa bought x pounds of almonds. Lark (y) bought more than
kvasek [131]

Answer:

y = 1.6x

Step-by-step explanation:

y is the total amount/pounds of almonds that Lark bought. x is the amount that Tessa bought. 3/5 is the same as 0.6. If we multiplied Tessa's amount by 0.6 it would decrease by 2/5 so we have to add 1 to make it 1.6. To find how much Lark bought multiply 1.6 and Tessa's amount.

In a certain Algebra 2 class of 30 students, 18 of them play basketball and 9 of them
marshall27 [118]

Probability that a student will play both is 7/30

Step-by-step explanation:

Total students = 30

No. of students who play basketball = 18

Probability that a student will play basketball = 18/30

= 3/5

No. of students who play baseball = 9

Probability that a student will play baseball = 9/30

= 3/10

No. of students who play neither sport = 10

Probability that a student will play neither sport = 10/30

= 1/3

To find :

Probability that a student will play both = p(student will play both)

No.of students who play sport = 30 - 10

= 20

Out of 20 students 18 play basketball and 9 play baseball.

So, some students play both the sports.

No. of students who play both sports = 18 + 9 - 20

= 7

p(student will play both) = 7/30

Probability that a student will play both is 7/30
