Graph the inequality and test a point to verify your shading is correct y>3x-5

so, we start off by graphing its equal counterpart, its EQUALity, so we'll graph the line of y = 3x - 5.

is the line dashed or not?  well y > means, "y" is greater than, not equals to, but greater than, meaning the values at the border are not included, since "y" doesn't equal them, so the line is dashed.

to do the shading, then we run a false/true test on a point on either region.....hmmmm say let's test the origin, namely 0,0,

x = 0, y = 0.

0 > 3(0) - 5

0 > -5 ................. is that true? is 0 greater than -5?, well yes, is true.

recall that on the negative side, the closer to 0, the larger the number, so -1 is greater than -1,000,000.

so the origin is in the True region, so we shade that, Check the picture below.

If AC equals 48 meters, what is the perimeter of the field
Alinara [238K]

Remark

A kite is constructed such that AB = BC and AD = DC. AB = sqrt( (1/2)AC + 18^2) see diagram. AD = sqrt(24^2 + 32^2)

Step One

Solve for AB

1/2 AC = 24 (AC is given as 48)

18 is a given length

AB = sqrt(24^2 + 18^2) = sqrt(576 + 324) = sqrt(900) = 30

Step Two

Find the length of AD

AD = sqrt(32^2 + 24^2) = sqrt(1024 + 576) = sqrt(1600) = 40

Step Three

Find the Perimeter.

P = 2 * 30 + 2*40 = 60 + 80 = 140

P = 140 <<<<< Answer

I'd say

Put one end of the compass on point P and the other end on point Q.

This way, you can construct (part of) a circumference with radius PQ with center P.

If you connect point P with any point on the circumference, this segment will be another radius of the circumference, and thus congruent to PQ.

Allison has 1/2 cup of yogurt for making fruit parfait
ivolga24 [154]
Allison can make four parfaits because you need 1/8 cup of yogurt and Allison has 1/2 cup of yogurt. So the half of the cup would give her 4 * 1/8 to equal 1/2.
