Answer:

45

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Question,

  • Given, Some boys and girls took part in a competition. 2/5 of the competitors were boys So 3/5 of the competitors were girls.

And there were Total 135 competitors.

So, the Number of Boys are 135 × (2/5) = 54 boys

Therefore, the Number of Girls in the competition is 135-54 = 81 Girls.

Now,

  • 1/3 of the boys were disqualified from the competition. So, 54× (1/3) = 18 boys Disqualified . the Remaining boys are 54-18 = 36 boys left in Competition.
  • Then, The number of girls more than that of boys left in competition were 81-36 = 45

For the following exercises, evaluate the function f at the values f(−2), f(−1), f(0), f(1), and f(2)
MatroZZZ [7]

Answer:

See below.  <u><em>I assume that (x) = 8x2 - 7x + 3 is really (x) = 8x^2 - 7x + 3</em></u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Substitute the value of x given in f(x) into the equation f(x) = 8x^2 - 7x + 3

For example, f(0) would be f(0) = 8(0)^2 - 7(0) + 3.  f(0) = 3

f(-2) would be f(-2) = 8(-2)^2 - 7(-2) + 3.

                                =   8*4  + 14 +3

                                = 32 + 17        therefore      f(-2) = 49

A band expects to put 12 songs on their next CD. The band writes and records 25% more songs than they expect to put on the CD.
sweet-ann [11.9K]
12 songs. 25% of 12 is 3, so you add 3 to 12 and get 15. You then find that 20% of 15 is 3 so you subtract 3 from 15 and get 12 again.

Volume of a ice cream cone is about 65.94cm^3 if the raduius of the cone is 3cm what is the height of cone
kodGreya [7K]
The volume of a cone is
\pi {r}^{2} (h \div 3)
since V=65.94 and r=3, you just plug it in and solve for h which results to 6.996cm
