Answer:

No. A small group should try every method to reach consensus before resorting to a vote.

Explanation:

In problem-solving, the reflective-thinking method involves five steps: identify the problem, analyze it, select the best criteria to find possible solutions, come up with possible solutions, choose the best one, and evaluate the result. This problem-solving method is often recommended and followed because of its simplicity and logical progression. However, while Amy's group picked a good method, them choosing the best solution by a vote wasn't the best decision. According to research conducted on small group problem solving, the decision method is highly important. Picking a decision through a vote can make those who "lost" the decision to feel like their opinion and views were disregarded. It is therefore recommended that small groups should try to reach consensus before resorting to a vote, in order to avoid resentment by a part of the group.

This is called empty love. The theory described by Robert Sternberg, called the Triangular Theory of Love, indicates that love can have 3 components: intimacy, passion and decision /commitment.

The intimacy component refers to feelings of connection, closeness, and union in sentimental relationships. The component of passion refers to romantic impulses, physical attractiveness, and sexual intercourse.

The decision /commitment component refers first to the decision to love someone, and then to the decision to keep that commitment. This component is also called empty love.

Bingel [31]

Answer:

Hypnosis

Explanation:

According to the American Psychological Association (APA) hypnosis is a cooperative interaction in which the participant responds to the suggestions of the hypnotist.

Usually, when people think of hypnosis they think of a trance state, where the individual is asleep and in trance, however, this is not true.

Hypnosis is actually a state characterized by focused attention, heightened suggestibility, and vivid fantasies. (that follows the hypnotist suggestions and instructions). It also includes the lack of voluntary control over one's own behavior.

Hypnosis is mainly used for pain treatment for many illnesses.

Thus, we can conclude that hypnosis is a state of mind that occurs in compliance with instructions and is characterized by focused attention, suggestibility, absorption, lack of voluntary control over behavior and suspension of critical faculties of mind.
