The more twists per foot in a pair of wires, the more resistant the pair will be to ____.
Murljashka [212]
The more twist per foot in a pair of wires, the more resistant the pair will be to cross talk. A cross talk in network planning and design is a disturbance produced by electromagnetic interference beside a circuit or a cable pair. A telecommunication signal interrupts a signal in an adjacent circuit and can source the signals to turn out to be confused and cross over each other.

Which of the following is an example of velocity?
Otrada [13]

Answer:

10 m/s to the right

Explanation:

Velocity is a vector quantity it has magnitude as well as direction.

10 m/s represent the speed of the object not velocity.

10 is a constant so it is not an example of the velocity.

10 m to the right is an example of displacement of the object not velocity.

10 m/s to right represent magnitude as well as direction so, its an example of the velocity.

Thus correct answer is 10 m/s to right.

A seagull flying horizontally at 8.00m/s carries a clam with a mass of 300g in its beak. Calculate the total mechanical energy o
tekilochka [14]

Answer:

The total mechanical energy of the clam when the seagull is 30.0 m above the ground is 97.8 Joules

Explanation:

Given:

Mass =  300 g

speed =  8.00 m/s

Height =  30.0 m

To Find:

Total mechanical energy of the clam = ?

Solution:

The total mechanical energy is the sum of the kinetic energy of the clam  and its  potential energy

Kinetic energy, E_K = \frac{1}{2}mv^2

Where m is the mass and v is the velocity

Potential energy,E_P  = mgh

where

m is the mass

g is the gravitational constant and h is the height

Then

Mechanical energy E_M = \frac{1}{2}mv^2 +mgh

Converting g to kg we have

300 gram = 0.3 kg

On substituting the values,

E_M = \frac{1}{2}(0.3)(8.00)^2 +(0.3)( 9.8) (30.0)

E_M = \frac{1}{2}(19.2) + 88.2

E_M = 9.6 + 88.2

E_M = 97.8 J

Two identical charged pith balls are brought together to touch each other. They are then
sergejj [24]

Answer:

-17.5 nC

Explanation:

charge A = -30 nC

charge B = -5 nC

After adding them it would be the average of the two charges because of the getting same voltage difference. so

c = (-30+(-5)) / 2 nC

c= -17.5 nC

answer is -17.5 nC
