You raised a total of $102 in the car wash, making that the maximum you could spend. If soccer balls are $18 each, you have to use a variable (s goes with soccer, but you could use any letter) for how many you can buy.

Your equation would be 18s = 102.

Divide by 18 on both sides.

18s / 18 = s
102 / 18 = 5 2/3

Because the 2/3 of a dollar won't pay for a whole soccer ball, you round down to 5.

Your answer would be s = 5 soccer balls.

Hope this helps you! :)

Blizzard [7]

Answer:

  D. (0.6, 1.3)

Step-by-step explanation:

The difference between y-values is smallest for x=0.6. The approximate y-value is reasonably chosen as the average of the y-values for that value of x.

  (x, y) = (0.6, 1.3) is a reasonable approximation

Find the perimeter of rectangle whose length is 40 and the diagonal is 41 cm<br>
Bond [772]

Answer:

<h2>              P = 98 cm</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Given one side and diagonal of rectangle we can use Pythagorean theorem to calculate the other side of it.

L=40\, cm\\D=41\,cm\\W=\ ?\\\\W^2+L^2=D^2\\\\W^2+40^2=41^2\\\\W^2+1600=1681\\\\W^2=81\\\\W=9

Perimeter:

P = 2W + 2L = 2•40 + 2•9 = 80 + 18 = 98
