The answer is 5/2 in fraction form or 2.5 in decimal form.

1.4 meters is equal to 140 centimeters. We can find the ratio with just these two side lengths because we know that the shapes are similar, so the other corresponding sides will also have the same ratio.

Then, we can take 140 and divide it by 56 which, simplified, gives us the fraction 5/2. Because of the Fundamental Theorem of Similarity, you keep the fraction the way it is. (If you are finding the ratio of areas or surface areas, you square the fraction, and if you are finding the ratio of the volumes you cube it.)

I hope this helped, if you are confused or this didn’t help, feel free to ask questions!

Graph the system of inequalities presented here then use your graph to answer the following questions:
Nookie1986 [14]

Answer:

Part A) The graph in the attached figure (see the explanation)

Part B) The ordered pair is a solution of the system of inequalities (is included in the solution area for the system)

Step-by-step explanation:

Part 1) Graph the system of inequalities

we have

y> 5x+5 ----> inequality A

The solution of the inequality A is the shaded area above the dashed line y=5x+5

The slope pf the dashed line A is positive m=5

The y-intercept of the dashed line A is (0,5)

The x-intercept of the dashed line A is (-1,0)

y>-\frac{1}{2}x+1 ----> inequality B

The solution of the inequality B is the shaded area above the dashed line y=-\frac{1}{2}x+1

The slope pf the dashed line B is negative m=-1/2

The y-intercept of the dashed line B is (0,1)

The x-intercept of the dashed line B is (2,0)

The solution of the system of inequalities is the shaded area above the dashed line A and above the dashed line B

using a graphing tool

see the attached figure

Part B) Is the point (-2, 5) included in the solution area for the system? Justify your answer mathematically

we know that

If a ordered pair is a solution of the system of inequalities, then the ordered pair must satisfy both inequalities

substitute the value of x and the value of y in each inequality

For x=-2, y=5

<em>Verify inequality A</em>

5>5(-2)+5

5>-5 ---> is true

so

The ordered pair satisfy inequality A

<em>Verify inequality B</em>

5>-\frac{1}{2}(-2)+1

5>2 ---> is true

so

The ordered pair satisfy inequality B

therefore

The ordered pair is a solution of the system of inequalities (is included in the solution area for the system)

Why is log of 1 with base b is 0
zepelin [54]
De finition\ of\ logarithm:\log_ab=c\iff a^c=b\\where\ a > 0,\ a\neq1,\ b > 0\ and\ c\in\mathbb{R}\\\\therefore\\\\\log_b1=0\ because\ b^0=1\ for\ b > 0\ and\ b\neq1

Which numbers between 10 and 99 have digits that differ by 4 and add to 6
madreJ [45]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Correct option is A)

Let a 3-digit number ABC

Case (1)

If A=7, then B  and  C can be any digit but not 7

so, total 9 digits (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9) can replace B and C

Then total such combinations =1(9)(9)=81

Case (2)

If B=7  then A can be any digit but not  0 and 7, because if A=0 it will be a 2-digit number.

And C can be any digit but not 7

Then total combinations =(8)(1)(9)=72

Case (3)

If C=7  then A can be any digit but not 0 and 7, because if A=0 it will be a 2-digit number.

And B can be any digit but not 7

Then total combinations =(8)(9)(1)=72

So, total numbers between 99 and 1000 which have exactly one of their digits as 7 are =81+72+72=225
