Students in Mr. Taylor's physics class conducted an experiment by dropping a basketball from a height of 40 feet and then record

ing the ball’s height after each bounce. The ball climbed to a height of 20 feet after the first bounce, and 10 feet after the second bounce. If this pattern continues, how many feet high will the ball climb after the third bounce? Input the answer using numbers only.

Answer:

The answer would be 5 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The class dropped the ball from 40 feet than after the ball bounced again it went to 20 feet than after the 2nd bounce it went to 10 feet and the pattern so far goes 40, 20, and 10. We need to find the common pattern of these 3 numbers and find the 4th number or x so to find the 4th number you can see that if you divide every number by 10 than you will get 4, 2, and 1 which you can see when divided by 2 every time goes to the next number so 4 divided  by 2 is 2 and 2 divided by 2 is 1 so we can assume 1 divided by 2 will be x divided by 10 so 1/2 is 0.5 so x divided by 10 is equal to 0.5 so the equation would be \frac{x}{10} =0.5 so we could multiply by 10 on both sides so we would get x = 5 so the final answer would be 5.

What is the value of the inequality? <br>n+7 &lt;5
VMariaS [17]

Hello there! n < -2.

Solve for n. To do this, you want to get all other terms on the other side of the equation. The only other term is 7 in this case, so subtract 7 from both sides of the equation.

n +7-7< 5-7

n < -2

This is your final answer! I hope this helps and have a great day!

Ivahew [28]

Answer:

The parents sell 48 pretzels.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a be the number of bags of popcorn sold, and b the number of pretzels sold.

2.5a + 2b = 336

a = 2b

2.5a + a = 336

3.5a = 336

a = 96

b = 48

Required

Find RST

To do this, we use:

RST + 36 = 180 --- angle on a straight line

Make RST the subject

RST =- 36 + 180

RST =144
