The ratio of dark chocolate candies to white chocolate candies is 3 to 2. There are 18 pieces of dark chocolate. How many pieces
ch4aika [34]

there are 18 pieces of dark chocolate and the ratio of dark and white is 3:2 so we can divide 18 by 3.

18/3 = 6.

This means the ratio of dark chocolate to white as a 1:1 ratio would be 6:6 so we can multiply 6 by 2 to give us the total amount of pieces of white chocolate.

6*2 = 12.

Therefore there are 12 white chocolate pieces.

1. Solve for the value of x
Tamiku [17]

Answer:

x = 18

Explanation:

  • Line E B C Needs To Equal 180°
  • Create An Equation

3x + 5 + 3x + 4 + 3x + 9 = 180

  • Simplify Both Sides Of The Equation

(3x + 3x + 3x) + (5 + 4 + 9) = 180( Combine Like Terms)

9x + 18 = 180

9x + 18 = 180

  • Subtract 18 From Both Sides

9x + 18 − 18 = 180 − 18

9x = 162

Divide Both Sides By 9

9x / 9 = 162 / 9

x = 18

A rectangular garden has links twice as great as it's with a second rectangular garden has the same link as the first garden and
irinina [24]

Solution :

For the bigger rectangle

Width of bigger rectangle = W

Length of bigger rectangle, L = 2W

For the smaller rectangle

Width , w = W+4

Length, l = L = 2W

Area, a =120 m^2

Now we know,

Area = length x width

$a=l \times w$

$120=(2W) \times (W+4)$

$120=2W^2 + 8W$

$2W^2+8W-120=0$

$W^2+4W-60=0$

$(W+10)(W-6) = 0$

We get, either W=-10   (rejecting)

                or     W=6

∴ length of the bigger rectangle, $L=2W $

                                                          = 2(6)

                                                           = 12 m

Length of the smaller rectangle, $L=2W$

                                                            = 2(6)

                                                           = 12 m

Hence, the length of the two gardens is 12 m.
