Answer:

The new temperature is 19.072 K.

Explanation:

Charles's Law consists of the relationship that exists between the volume and the temperature of a certain quantity of ideal gas, which is maintained at a constant pressure. This law says that as the temperature increases, the volume of the gas increases and as the temperature decreases, the volume of the gas decreases because the temperature is directly related to the energy of the movement of the gas molecules.

In summary, Charles's law is a law that says that when the amount of gas and pressure are kept constant, the quotient that exists between the volume and the temperature will always have the same value:

\frac{V}{T}=k

Assuming that a certain volume of gas V1 that is at a temperature T1 at the beginning of the experiment varies up to a volume of gas V2, then the temperature will change to T2, and it will be true:

\frac{V1}{T1}=\frac{V2}{T2}

In this case:

  • V1= 500 mL
  • T1= 25 C= 298 K
  • V2= 32 mL
  • T2= ?

Replacing:

\frac{500 mL}{298 K}=\frac{32 mL}{T2}

Solving:

T2=32 mL*\frac{298 K}{500 mL}

T2= 19.072 K

<u><em>The new temperature is 19.072 K.</em></u>

Which answer best explains how the modern periodic table was derived? the sole work of mendeleev, the father of the modern perio
saveliy_v [14]
I think the correct answer would be the last option. The statement that would best explain the derivation of the  modern periodic table would be that it was made from much scientific examination, investigation, and argumentation of data by many scientists. It was indeed finalized by Mendeleev however his works are based on the works of previous scientists who focused on the elements in the periodic table. So, it was not solely a product of effort of only one scientist but rather a number of scientists. Without the the previous researches, Mendeleev would not be able to come to the modern periodic table.
