The Avogadro constant is so large it is normally written in scientific notation. To get an idea of the enormity of the Avogadro

constant, write it out in standard form. (You will need to move the decimal place to the right 23 times, so you will need to add a lot of zeros!)

Answer:

602214085700000000000000

Explanation:

The scientific notation form for the avogadro constant is given as;

6.022140857 × 10^23

The standard form with a lot of zeros is given as;

602214085700000000000000

Why are salt and sugar both able to dissolve in water, even though the solutes have different types of chemical bonding?
Serjik [45]

Answer:Water is polar molecule, ionic compound dissolves in it as like dissolves like.

there is ionic interaction between a salt and water

Sugar has hydroxyl group in it. These hydroxyl group are able to form hydrogen bond with water molecule.

[Hydrogen bond : the interaction between a hydrogen, bonded with a highly electro-negative element (F,O,N) and other highly electro-negative element (F,O,N)]

Thus due to hydrogen bond sugar is soluble in water.

Explanation:The water molecules, , are polar, with positive partial charges on the hydrogen and a negative partial charge on the oxygen. This makes it possible to interact with ionic compounds such as salt (NaCl). This interaction occurs through the partially positive and negative ends of the water, so that the positive charges attract the negative ones. The NaCl salt in water dissociates (separates) into  and  ions. ions are surrounded by negative partial charges of water oxygen, while  ions are surrounded by hydrogen ends with positive partial charge. In this way the salt is dissolved in water.

Sugar is a molecular compound formed by covalent bonds. In a polar covalent bond, electrons are shared unevenly. This creates a slightly negatively charged end and a slightly positively charged end. This is what happens with sugar. These extremes are those that interact with the positive and negative extremes of water, mentioned previously. Then it is possible to say that sugar dissolves in water because both substances are polar substances.

In short, water dissolves most of the substances that are polar or ionic, as in the case of sugar and salt.

A solution with a volume of 1.00 l is 0.450 m in ch 3 cooh(aq) and 0.550 m in ch 3 coona(aq). what will the ph be after 0.0800 m
Semenov [28]
Before addition of HCl,

conc. of CH3COOH = 0.450 M
conc. of CH3COONa = 0.550 M

After addition of 0.08 M HCl, following reaction occurs in system:
HCl + CH3COONa ↔  CH3COOH + NaCl

Thus, in reaction system conc. of CH3COOH will increase to 0.53 M (0.08M + 0.450M)
And, conc to CH3COONa will reduce to 0.47 M (0.550M - 0.08M)

Now, conc. of H+ ions = ka \frac{[acid]}{[conjugated base]}
where ka = dissociation constant for acid = 10^-5 for Ch3COOH

∴ conc. of H+ ions = \frac{0.53}{0.47}
                              = 1.1277 x 10^-5

Now, pH = -log [H+] = -log (1.1227 x 10^-5) = 4.94

A cheetah is an organism that observes chase and catches its pery what kind of energy is that A mechanicle kenetic to chemical t
Temka [501]

Answer:

C mechanical potential to chemical to mechanical kinetic

Explanation:

When the cheetah observes it prey, it does not move at all and remains still in one place. This is potential energy.

To chase after its prey or to pounce on it, the cheetah would require energy. This is obtained by its body by performing certain chemical activities that generate energy that help it to move.

When the cheetah finally undergoes this, it has enough energy to finally come out of hiding and chase its prey. This is kinetic energy as while doing so, the cheetah is in motion.

Hope it helps.
