Answer:Water is polar molecule, ionic compound dissolves in it as like dissolves like.

there is ionic interaction between a salt and water

Sugar has hydroxyl group in it. These hydroxyl group are able to form hydrogen bond with water molecule.

[Hydrogen bond : the interaction between a hydrogen, bonded with a highly electro-negative element (F,O,N) and other highly electro-negative element (F,O,N)]

Thus due to hydrogen bond sugar is soluble in water.

Explanation:The water molecules, , are polar, with positive partial charges on the hydrogen and a negative partial charge on the oxygen. This makes it possible to interact with ionic compounds such as salt (NaCl). This interaction occurs through the partially positive and negative ends of the water, so that the positive charges attract the negative ones. The NaCl salt in water dissociates (separates) into and ions. ions are surrounded by negative partial charges of water oxygen, while ions are surrounded by hydrogen ends with positive partial charge. In this way the salt is dissolved in water.

Sugar is a molecular compound formed by covalent bonds. In a polar covalent bond, electrons are shared unevenly. This creates a slightly negatively charged end and a slightly positively charged end. This is what happens with sugar. These extremes are those that interact with the positive and negative extremes of water, mentioned previously. Then it is possible to say that sugar dissolves in water because both substances are polar substances.

In short, water dissolves most of the substances that are polar or ionic, as in the case of sugar and salt.

Which has a higher concentration of water molecules— 200 molecules of water, or a mixture of 300 molecules of water and 100 mole
Dovator [93]

Answer:

            200 molecules of water has the highest concentration.

Explanation:

                    In chemistry, Concentration is defined as the amount of substance divided by the total volume of the constituents making the mixture.

Case 1: 200 Molecules of Water:

                                                     In this case we are having system which is made up of 200 purely water molecules and there is no other substance present in the system. Hence, for ease we can write it as,

           Concentration = Molecules of Water ÷ Total Molecules of Mixture

           Concentration  =  200 ÷ 200

           Concentration  =  1

Case 2: 300 Molecules of Water and 100 Molecules of Food Coloring:

                                                     In this case we are having a mixture which is made up of 300 water molecules and 200 food coloring molecules. Hence, we can write it as,

           Concentration = Molecules of Water ÷ Total Molecules of Mixture

           Concentration  =  300 ÷ (300 + 200)

           Concentration  =  300 ÷ 500

           Concentration  =  0.6

Therefore, it is proved that the concentration of pure 200 molecules of water is greater.

The last answer choice us D. Adding more of the chemical will hear the water but only up to a certain temperature
enot [183]

D. Adding more of the chemical will heat the water but only up to a certain temperature

Further explanation

Chemical changes are changes in the process that produce new substances that are different from the initial/ forming substances. Chemical changes are usually known as chemical reactions. So there are products/reactions and reactants and there is a change in the molecule/particle

The chemical reaction is usually followed by the release of heat, gas, change in color, precipitate substance etc

The heat that occurs in the addition of chemicals is caused by the reaction with water. But there is a constant rise in temperature when water reaches its maximum capacity to react with these chemicals.

Evidenced by the addition of 15 g and 20 g of chemicals, the temperature changes are constant
