Answer:

Energy of 1eV is absorbed to move from n=2 to n=3

Explanation:

Since;

E =hc/λ

h= Planks's constant = 6.6 * 10^-34 Js

c= speed of light = 3 * 10^8 ms-1

λ = wavelength = 1240 * 10^-9 m

E =6.6 * 10^-34 * 3 * 10^8/1240 * 10^-9

E = 1.6 * 10^-19 J or 1eV

From the diagram, It is clear that an energy of 1eV is absorbed to move from n=2 to n=3

What is Manometer ?

Manometer is a U shaped instrument which is used to measure the pressure acting on a column of fluid , a difference in the pressure in the two arms of the manometer causes the liquid to reach different heights.

If 12.6 grams of iron (III) oxide reacts with 9.65 grams of carbon monoxide to produce 7.23 g of pure iron, what are the theoret
Mariana [72]
The balanced equation is Fe₂O₃ + 3 CO = 2 Fe + 3 CO₂.
Next step is to convert everything to moles.
12.6g Fe₂O₃ x (1 mol Fe₂O₃ / 159.7g Fe₂O₃) = 0.07890 mol Fe₂O₃
9.65g CO x (1 mol CO / 28.01g CO) = 0.3445 mol CO
The third step is to determine the limiting and excess reactants.
0.07890 mol Fe₂O₃ x (3 mol CO/1 mol Fe₂O₃) = 0.2367 mol CO
Therefore Fe₂O₃ is the limiting reagent while CO is in excess.

0.07890 mol Fe x (2 mol Fe(s) / 1 mol Fe₂O₃) = 0.1578 mol Fe(s)
0.1578 mol Fe x (55.84g Fe / mole Fe) = 8.812g Fe is the theoretical yield
%yield = (7.23g / 8.812g) x 100% = 82.0% is the percent yield

How many xenon atoms are contained in 1.00 moles of xenon?
joja [24]

Answer:

6.022 x 10²³

Explanation:

The number of atoms = the number of moles x with the Avogadro's number.

(The Avogadro's number is 6.022 x 10²³ atoms / moles)

number of atoms = 1.00 moles x 6.022 x 10²³ atoms / mole

number of atoms = 6.022 x 10²³ atoms

(There is no need to simplify?) = 6.022 x 10²³

Determine the maximum amount of Fe that was produced during the experiment. Explain how you determined this amount.
dsp73

Answer:

5 moles of Fe

Explanation:

The equation of the reaction is;

2 Al(s) + Fe 2O 3(s) --> 2Fe (s) + Al 2O 3 (s)

Now;

1 mole of Fe2O3 require 2 moles of Al

3 moles of Fe2O3 requires 3 × 2/1 = 6 moles of Al

Hence Al is the limiting reactant.

If 2 moles of Al yields 2 moles of Fe

5 moles of Al yields 5 × 2/2 = 5 moles of Fe
