How do hydrogen ions (h+) and chloride ions (cl–) get into the lumen of the stomach?
user100 [1]
In the stomach cell, the enzyme carbonic anhydrase converts one molecule of carbon dioxide and one molecule of water indirectly into a bicarbonate ion (HCO3-) and a hydrogen ion (H+). In the stomach ion exchange is used to move H+ ions out the cells and into the lumen of the stomach

a sample of sucrose was burned in a calorimeter, and 41,600 joules oh heat energy were released. which statement is true about t
Gala2k [10]

It absorbed 41,600 joules.

Explanation:

If the sample of sucrose burnt in the calorimeter releases 41600Joules of heat, then the water in the calorimeter will absorb 41600J.

The heat lost by burning the sucrose in the calorimeter is also the heat gained by the water therein.

A calorimeter is a device by prevents heat loss to the environment in any form.

It is specially designed to minimize heat loss by conduction, convection radiation.

Therefore, since no heat is lost, the heat released by burning the sucrose is used in heating the water there.

Why does table salt dissolve more rapidly than rock salt
Sergio [31]
Because in rock salt, the molecules are packed together and they take longer time to separate and dissolve. As for table salt the molecules are less packed together and take less time to dissolve. Think it like this. The more packed or tightly the substance/object is, the longer it will take for the object to dissolve. The less packed the object/substance is the faster it takes to dissolve. Hope this helped :)
