Answer:

The much higher power density offered by lithium ion batteries is a distinct advantage. Electric vehicles also need a battery technology that has a high energy density. ... Lithium ion cells is that their rate of self-discharge is much lower than that of other rechargeable cells such as Ni-Cad and NiMH forms.

2. What is the molarity of a HCl solution containing 1.2 grams of hydrochloric acid in 0.025 L of solution?
alisha [4.7K]

Answer:

1.3M

Explanation:

Convert from grams to moles:

molar mass of HCl = 1.01g(molar mass of H) + 35.45g(molar mass of Cl) = 36.46g HCl

1.2g HCl (1mol HCl/36.46g HCl)

= .0329 mol HCl

Molarity = mol/L (important formula for concentration)

Plug your values in:

Molarity = .0329mol/.025L

1.317M - but you used two significant figures in the question, so:

1.3M

Given the Henry’s law constant for O2(4.34*109Pa) at 25° C, calculate the molar concentration of oxygen in air-saturated and O2s
Flauer [41]

This is an incomplete question, here is a complete question.

The Henry's law constant for oxygen dissolved in water is 4.34 × 10⁹ g/L.Pa at 25⁰C.If the partial pressure of oxygen in air is 0.2 atm, under atmospheric conditions, calculate the molar concentration of oxygen in air-saturated and oxygen saturated water.

Answer : The molar concentration of oxygen is, 2.67\times 10^2mol/L

Explanation :

As we know that,

C_{O_2}=k_H\times p_{O_2}

where,

C_{O_2} = molar solubility of O_2 = ?

p_{O_2} = partial pressure of O_2 = 0.2 atm  = 1.97×10⁻⁶ Pa

k_H = Henry's law constant  = 4.34 × 10⁹ g/L.Pa

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get:

C_{O_2}=(4.34\times 10^9g/L.Pa)\times (1.97\times 10^{-6}Pa)

C_{O_2}=8.55\times 10^3g/L

Now we have to molar concentration of oxygen.

Molar concentration of oxygen = \frac{8.55\times 10^3g/L}{32g/mol}=2.67\times 10^2mol/L

Therefore, the molar concentration of oxygen is, 2.67\times 10^2mol/L

Hi, someone knows how to balance the following equation, and if you can thank you if you can explain how that is done:
kari74 [83]
To begin with, the equation given is not correct.
Correct equation is : CaCO3 + HCl ---> CaCl2 + H2O + CO2
It's CaCl2 not CaCl because Ca has a valency of 2

    LHS                          RHS
CaCO3 + HCl ---> CaCl2 + H2O + CO2
First of all, to balance the equation you must look at the number of atoms on each side of the equation.
we have 2 H on the RHS and 1 H on the LHS. So, we put a 2 on the LHS

CaCO3 + 2HCl ---> CaCl2 + H2O + CO2
Check for the LHS: 1 Ca, 1 C, 3 O, 2 H & 2 Cl on the LHS
Now check for the RHS: 1 Ca, 2 Cl, 2 H, 1 C & 3 O

Hope it helped!
