In my Health class the components were Cardio (running, biking), Muscular strength (max bench, max squat), Muscular Endurance (max reps of pull ups, push up), Flexibility (sit and reach), and Motor Skills (stork stand)
They died off because the cancerous cells deprived them of nutrients. I hope this is the right answer.
