Answer:

A. produce larger materials from the collision of smaller materials

Explanation:

The outcome of nuclear fusion reaction is that it produces larger materials from the collision of smaller materials.

 • Nuclear fusion is the combination of small atomic nuclei into larger ones with the release of a large amount of energy.
 • The energy released provides the needed temperature for another set of atoms to fuse.
 • This process in turn yields a bulkier material accompanied with the release of a lot of energy.

aivan3 [116]

Answer:

DNA ligase

Explanation:

DNA replication is an enzyme mediated, 3-step process during which the DNA molecule produces a copy of itself. The 3 steps involved are as follows;

 • initiation
 • elongation
 • termination

Initiation involves the unwinding of the double helix structure of the DNA using DNA helicase enzyme

Elongation involves binding of RNA primer to the DNA strands and addition of bases to the primer to elongate the new chains. Bases are added to the leading strand continuously while the lagging strand is replicated in short segments (okazaki segments).

Termination involves the unbinding of RNA primer and substitution of its bases by DNA bases. The Okazaki fragments are then joined together using the DNA ligase enzyme.

The short, numerous segments of DNA observed in the mixture is the Okazaki fragments of the lagging strand. This is due to the absence of the enzyme involved in the joining of these fragments.

Hence, the answer is DNA ligase.

DNA, in the nucleus carries the genetic code for making proteins in ribosomes. In the diagram, B, represents the proteins produc
soldi70 [24.7K]

A: ribosome C: translation

During transcription, the two DNA strands unwind and separate. Free ribonucleotides combine to the corresponding bases in the template strand, which is one of the separated DNA strands. These ribonucleotides will form a mRNA, which can leave the nucleus and enter the cytoplasm.

In cytoplasm, mRNA will be translated into protein by ribosomes. During translation, the mRNA inside the ribosome will be attached to tRNA molecules, which will then attract specific amino acids. Different tRNA molecules bond with the corresponding segments of the mRNA and different amino acids will be joining together by peptide bond. A protein is then produced.
