1.) 5x + 14 : (2x + 3x = 5x)  (5 + 9=14)

2.) 3x - 4 : (-3x + 6x = 3x)  (-4 + 2 = -4)

3.) 6x + 12 : (10x - 4x = 6x)  (2 + 10 = 12)

4.) 5x - 9 : ((11x - 9x = 2x) + 3x = 5x)  (-12 + 3 = -9)
