first you need to know that the the sum of the co-interior angle is  180 degree and the sum of the opposite side of  parallelogram is always equal.

now x+140=180(being co - interior angle)

or, x= 180-140

therefore, x =40 degree

y= 140 degree because sum of the opposite side of  parallelogram is always equal.

x= z=40 degree (sum of the opposite side of  parallelogram is always equal.
