First lets start by making the denominators the same. I multiplied the 4 by 5 and 10 by 2.

-25/20 = x -14/20
Add 14/20 on both sides (do the opposite to cancel out and whatever you do to one side you need to do to the other.
You should get -11/20 = x

Please help asap with this question i will give brainliest.
HACTEHA [7]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a circle in standard form is

(x - h)² + (y - k)² = r²

where (h, k) are the coordinates of the centre and r is the radius

Here (h, k) = ( - \frac{1}{5}, \frac{1}{3} ) and r = \frac{1}{2}, thus

(x - (- \frac{1}{5} ))² + (y - \frac{1}{3} )² = ( \frac{1}{2} )², that is

(x + \frac{1}{5} )² + (y - \frac{1}{3} )² = \frac{1}{4} → D

NutritionCalc Plus uses the equations from the National Academy of Medicine to calculate the Estimated Energy Requirement (EER)
olga nikolaevna [1]

Answer:

The correct option is (A).

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation for the Estimated Energy Requirement (EER) of 19 or more years older men is:

EER = 662 - (9.53 \times AGE) + PA \times (15.91 \times WT + 539 \times HT)

Here,

AGE = age counted in years

PA = appropriate physical activity factor

WT = weight in kilograms

HT = height in meters

The physical activity factor for men and women is:

Activity Level       PA (men)      PA (Women)

Sedentary              1.00                1.00

    Low                    1.11                1.12

  Active                   1.25                1.27

Very Active              1.48                1.45

Given:

AGE = 22 year-old male college student

PA = low = 1.11

WT = 180 pounds = 81.6466 kg

HT = 5'10" = 1.778 m

Compute the value of EER as follows:

EER = 662 - (9.53 \times AGE) + PA \times (15.91 \times WT + 539 \times HT)

        = 662 - (9.53 \times 22) + 1.11 \times (15.91 \times 81.6466 + 539 \times 1.778)\\\\=662-209.66+1.11\times (1298.997406+958.342)\\\\=452.34+2505.64674066\\\\=2957.98674066\\\\\approx 2962

Thus, the EER for a 22-year-old male college student is approximately 2962 kcal.

The correct option is (A).

Someone please help.
Alexxandr [17]

Hi there!

f(x)+f(x+1)=4f(x)

There are 3 parts to this equation:

f(x)

f(x+1)

4f(x)

We must first determine these three parts separately.

<u>1) f(x)</u>

We're given that  f(x)=3^x:

⇒ f(x)=3^x:

<u>2) f(x+1)</u>

Now, we must find f(x+1). To do so, add 1 to x in the original function f(x)=3^x:

⇒ f(x+1)=3^x^+^1

<u>3) 4f(x)</u>

To find 4f(x), multiply the original function f(x)=3^x by 4:

4f(x)=4*3^x:

<u>4) Put it all together</u>

Now, plug each of the three parts into the equation f(x)+f(x+1)=4f(x):

f(x)+f(x+1)=4f(x)

3^x+3^x^+^1=4*3^x\\3^x+3^x*3=4*3^x

Factor the left side

3^x*(1+3)=4*3^x

Divide both sides by 3^x

1+3=4\\4=4

Because this equation is true, f(x)+f(x+1)=4f(x) is therefore true.

I hope this helps!
