In a right triangle whose area is 12, each leg is as long as the side of a certain square. What is the area of the square?
kakasveta [241]

Use the formula d = ( r − c ) t to find c if d = 6 , r = 4 , and t = 2 . c=
Minchanka [31]

First, we are going to want to plug in the values we are given. In this case, we will end up with the equation:

6 = (4 - c) 2

From here, we can solve the equation to find c:

6 = 2(4 - c)

  • Apply the commutative property to rearrange the terms on the right-side of the equation to make the distributive property more apparent

6 = 8 -2c

  • Apply the distributive property

-2 = -2c

  • Subtract 8 from both sides of the equation

1 = c

  • Divide both sides of the equation by -2

We have found that c = 1.

Volume of Spheres
Oliga [24]
It’s simple. The volume of a sphere is V=4/3πr^3.. so you will convert the mm to m okay?? 10mm=1cm .. so do your conversion from here then when you get the radius then you will substitute it into the volume where r is the radius.. so for the first one l changed mm to cm so.. radius is 4cm then l substitute it into the formula so l got 270 after rounding it to the nearest tenth.. pi=22/7 bear in mind. So do the same for the other one

11 m
liubo4ka [24]

first off let's notice that the height is 11 meters and the volume of the cone is 103.62 cubic centimeters, so let's first convert the height to the corresponding unit for the volume, well 1 meters is 100 cm, so 11 m is 1100 cm.

\textit{volume of a cone}\\\\ V=\cfrac{\pi r^2 h}{3}~~ \begin{cases} r=radius\\ h=height\\[-0.5em] \hrulefill\\ V=\stackrel{cm^3}{103.62}\\ h=\stackrel{cm}{1100} \end{cases}\implies 103.62=\cfrac{\pi r^2 (1100)}{3} \\\\\\ 3(103.62)=1100\pi r^2\implies \cfrac{3(103.62)}{1100\pi }=r^2 \\\\\\ \sqrt{\cfrac{3(103.62)}{1100\pi }}=r\implies \stackrel{cm}{0.00510199305952} \approx r
