Kareem cannot decide which of two washing machines to buy. The seling price of

The first washing machine is 50% off- so it'd be $260 for the final price

The second washing machine was marked down by 20%, so it'd be 416. But then it was marked down another 30% so the final price would be $291

Since the first washing machine was just 50% of $520, it's a better deal rather than 20% of $520, then 30% of $416

I hope my answer was clear enough!

Answer:

First: 50% off which is $260

Second: 20% and 30% $291

The first option is better than second therefore the answer is $260 or the first one

How do you solve the equation y-3=-¼(x+3)
likoan [24]

Because you have two variables and only one equation, you can only solve for approximate answers, and not complete, absolute answers.

You can simplify this equation to x = -4y + 12

y - 3 = -1/4(x + 3)

Distributive property.

y - 3 = -1/4x - 3/4

Multiply all terms by 4.

4y - 12 = -x

Multiply all terms by -1

-4y + 12 = x

A group of 8 friends (5 girls and 3 boys) plans to watch a movie, but they have only 5 tickets. If they randomly decide who
nalin [4]

Answer:

53.57%

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to calculate first the specific number of events that interest us, if at least 3 are girls, they mean that 2 are boys, therefore we must find the combinations of 3 girls of 5 and 2 boys of 3, and multiply that, so :

# of ways to succeed = 5C3 * 3C2 = 5! / (3! * (5-3)!) * 3! / (2! * (3-2)!)

= 10 * 3 = 30

That is, there are 30 favorable cases, now we must calculate the total number of options, which would be the combination of 5 people from the group of 8.

# of random groups of 5 = 8C5 = 8! / (5! * (8-5)!) = 56

That is to say, in total there are 56 ways, the probability would be the quotient of these two numbers like this:

P (3 girls and 2 boys) = 30/56 = 0.5357

Which means that the probability is 53.57%

Find the slope of the line passing through the points of (3,-5) and (-9,-6)
slavikrds [6]

Answer:

1

m = ---

12

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula is y2-y1

---------

x2-x1

(x1,y1) (x2,y2)

(3,-5) (-9,-6)

You get the 2 Y's and subtract them

Do the same with the X's

Y's above , X's below

(y2- y1)

⬇

-6-(-5) -1 1

--------- = ---- = ---- = m

-9-(3) -12 12

⬆

(×2- x1)

This equation is backwards, thats why it was harder to understand. (-9,-6) is farther left and below point (3,-5), making it the REAL first point in the equation.

What is the completely factored form of t^4 − 16
MatroZZZ [7]

Since both terms are perfect squares, factor using the difference of squares formula, a^ 2 − b ^2 = ( a + b) ( a − b ) where a = t ^2 and b = 4 .

Answer: ( t^ 2 + 4 ) ( t + 2 ) ( t − 2 )
