Explanation:

  • Initial velocity (u) = 10 m/s
  • Final velocity (v) = 30 m/s
  • Mass (m) = 2400 kg
  • Force (F) = 12000 N

Let us find the time taken first.

→ F = ma

  • Acceleration (a) = (v – u)/t

→ 12000 = 2400 × (30 – 10)/t

→ 12000 ÷ 2400 = (20)/t

→ 5 = 20/t

→ 5t = 20

→ t = 20 ÷ 5

→ t = 4 seconds

Now, find the acceleration.

→ a = (v – u)/t

→ a = (30 – 10)/4

→ a = 20/4

→ a = 5 m/s²

Now, by using the third equation of motion,

→ v² – u² = 2as

  • s = distance

→ (30)² – (10)² = 2 × 5 × s

→ 900 – 100 = 10s

→ 800 = 10s

→ 800 ÷ 10 = s

→ 80 m = s

Therefore, distance travelled is 80 m.

What are some important factors to consider when choosing a warm-up before your workout?
TEA [102]

Answer:

Prior to exercise, a proper warm-up of 10-15 minutes is extremely important to avoid injuries.

  1. Don't go too hard in the beginning and boost your activity level slowly. A good indication of a proper warm-up is that you feel sweat on your body parts.
  2. Don't overstretch right in the beginning as it can cause sore in your muscles and joints or stress fractures.
  3. Take a break if you feel sick or fatigues and use other drinks along with water to replace electrolytes and body fluids.

How independent are we on technology?
Leona [35]

Technology makes us feel more alone because we are more dependent on social media connections than real life connections. Simply put, technology-independent architecture means not being biased towards any particular platform or software language.

Did the kinetic frictional coefficient (for the wood/aluminum and felt/aluminum cases) vary with area of contact
lawyer [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

Friction is defined as a force which acts at the surface of separation between two objects in contact and tends to oppose motion of one over the other.

While kinetic friction is the force that must be overcome so that a body can move with uniform speed over another.

Hence let consider one of the laws of friction which states that: '' Frictional force is independent of the area of the surfaces in contact.''

The value did not vary with area. This is because when calculating the kinetic fiction, the total contact area is not relevant and only the total weight of the system as well of as the block is put into consideration.

Two resistors of resistances R1 and R2, with R2>R1, are connected to a voltage source with voltage V0. When the resistors are
Contact [7]

Answer:

r=0.127

Explanation:

When  connected in series

Current = I

When connected in parallel

Current = 10 I

We know that equivalent resistance

In series  R = R₁+R₂

in parallel  R= R₁R₂/(R₂+ R₁)

Given that voltage is constant (Vo)

V = I R

Vo = I (R₁+R₂)  ------------1

Vo = 10 I (R₁R₂/(R₂+ R₁)) -------2

From above equations

10 I (R₁R₂/(R₂+ R₁)) = I (R₁+R₂)

10  R₁R₂ =  (R₁+R₂) (R₂+ R₁)

10  R₁R₂  = 2  R₁R₂  + R₁² + R₂²

8 R₁R₂  =     R₁² + R₂²

Given that

r =  R₁/R₂

Divides by R₂²

8R₁/R₂  = ( R₁/R₂)²+ 1

8 r = r ² + 1

r ² - 8 r+ 1 =0

r= 0.127 and r= 7.87

But given that R₂>R₁ It means that r<1 only.

So the answer is r=0.127
