Answer:

220.8L

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Initial volume  = 50L

Initial temperature = 15°C  = 288K

Initial pressure = 640mmHg

Final temperature  = 45°C  = 318K

Final pressure  = 160mmHg

Unknown:

Final volume  = ?

Solution:

Using the combined law;

        \frac{p_{1}v_{1}  }{T_{1} }  = \frac{p_{2}v_{2}  }{T_{2} }

p,v and T are pressure, volume and Temperature

    \frac{640 x 50}{288}  = \frac{160 x v_{2} }{318}

     160 x 288 x v₂ = 640 x 50 x 318

                         v₂ = 220.8L

What is the boiling point of cyclohexane at 620 mmhg? can you show calculations?
Anton [14]

 Boiling point of cyclohexane at 620 mm hg?

Standard atmospheric pressure is 760 mm Hg. Boiling point at 760 mm= 80.74˚C

A liquid boils when its vapor pressure is equal to the atmospheric pressure. The vapor pressure of a liquid is proportional the absolute temperature of the liquid.

As the atmospheric pressure decreases, less vapor pressure is needed to cause the liquid to boil. Less vapor pressure means lower temperature.

The boiling point of cyclohexane at 620 mm Hg is less than 80.74˚C

Which change of state is shown in the model?
Romashka [77]
I believe the change of state shown in the model is deposition.
Deposition is a process in which gases change phase and turns directly in solids without passing through the liquid phase. It is the opposite of sublimation.
One of the major difference between gases and solids is the distance between molecules; in gases the inter molecular spaces are large, while in solid they are very small, making solids be the most dense, with closely packed molecules. This is evident in the diagram, the phase changed from gases to solids.

Identifying a trend in temperature change over time
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

More than three decade the temperature of earth is increasing equally by the rate of 0.8 Celsius (1.4 Fahrenheit). It is going to be very harmful for the human being as well animals.  The global warming is the main reason and hole in the ozone layer had been the cause of increasing the temperature of the earth. Humans are also involved in cause in temperature of earth by cutting forests and making land suitable for residence and not planting more trees instead of the cut trees.

What is an ephemeral stream? A)one that flows only after rainfall B) one that flows only in flat lands C) one that is formed onl
kupik [55]

Answer: Option (a) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

The stream that flows during or after the rainfall is called an ephemeral stream. This stream occurs in areas where there is less rainfall or deficiency of moisture.

The stream that flows only in flat lands is called as river.

Mechanical weathering results in the breaking of rocks causes ice wedging.

Chemical weathering results in the change in molecular structure of rocks and soil.

Thus, it can be concluded that option (a) is the correct answer.
