Answer:

9 (m+5)-3(m-2)=8m+31

9m+45 - (3m + 6)= 8m+31

9m+45-3m-6=8m+31

45-6+31=8m-9m+3m

70=2m

m=70/2

Therefore m = 35

Answer:

m = 10

Step-by-step explanation:

9(m+5) - 3(m-2) = 8m+31

(9m+45) - (3m-6) = 8m+31

9m+45-3m+6 = 8m+31

9m-3m+45+6 = 8m+31

6m+51 = 8m+31

8m+31 = 6m+51

8m = 6m+51-31

8m+6m = 51-31

2m = 20

m = 20÷2

m = 10

Answer: w ≤ 14 cm , L ≤ 42 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

width (w): w

Length(L): 3w

Perimeter (P) = 2w + 2L

P ≤ 112

2w +   2L   ≤ 112

2(w) + 2(3w) ≤ 112

2w +   6w   ≤ 112

       8w        ≤ 112
