Answer:

The pressure difference in the pipe is 2666 Pa.

Explanation:

Given that,

Height = 12 cm

Angle = 30°

We need to calculate the height

Using formula of height

h_{1}=2\tan30

h_{1}=1.154\ m

We need to calculate the pressure difference in the pipe

Using formula of pressure

P_{2}=P_{1}+\rho_{w}h-\rho_{Hg}h-\rho_{w}h_{1}

P_{2}-P_{1}=\rho_{w}h-\rho_{Hg}h-\rho_{w}h_{1}

Where, \rho_{Hg} = density of mercury

\rho_{w} = density of water

Put the value into the formula

P_{2}-P_{1}=(13600-1000)\times12\times10^{-2}+1000\times1.154

P_{2}-P_{1}=2666\ Pa

Hence, The pressure difference in the pipe is 2666 Pa.

iris [78.8K]
To compare and rank each one's acceleration, get the acceleration of each person by using the formula, Acceleration = Velocity/Time

Xander = 4.5mps / 3.5s = 1.29m/s^2
Finley = 3.6mps/4.2s = 0.86m/s^2
Max = 7.3mps/1.2s = 6.08m/s^2

Based on the answers above, the least acceleration was done by Finley, then Xander had higher acceleration than Finley, while most acceleration was done by Max.

Explain how the plants of a tropical rain forest contribute to the characteristic hot, humid weather associated with the area. U
Talja [164]

Answer: The atmosphere of trophic rainforest is hot and humid due to high rate of transpiration.

Explanation:

The tropical rainforest is a biome which exhibit rich biodiversity of plants and animals. The average temperatures in this region remain high with warm summer. It remains frost free. The soil is nutrient deficient. Due to hot temperature the rate of transpiration remains high as a result the concentration of the water vapors remain high. This is responsible for increasing the humidity in the atmosphere also this region receives appreciable amount of rainfall annually. The average rainfall range is 200-450 centimeters.
