Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

I can't read the diagram well enough to tell you how exactly this should be done and I've been reprimanded a couple of times for using comments to solve problems, but this much I can tell you.

You need 2 angles

One comes from vertical angles being equal.

the other comes from the other end of the line that is bisected. Be careful to chose this angel. The two angles are equal because the lines are parallel.

Now what you have is ASA which always proves congruency. AAS should never be used if you can avoid it. If you search out AAS on the internet you will find long discussions on why AAS should never be used.

In this case it will work but even if it does, it should be avoided because you may run into questions where there are conditions that make AAS incorrect. Even if you are told it is OK in your lessons, you should not do it.

lecture ends.

Sorry.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

∠BCA = ∠DCE             vertical angles

∠BAC = ∠DEC             alternate interior angles

    BC = CD                  definition of bisect

ΔABC = ΔEDC              AAS

A circular rug measures 8 feet across. What is the area of the rug
Ivanshal [37]

Hey there!

The distance across a circle is called the diameter. Half of the diameter is the radius. To find the area of a circle, you take the radius, square it, and then multiply it by pi. Let's do it below.

8²=64

64*3.14=200.96

Therefore, the area of the rug is 200.96 ft².

I hope this helps! Have a great day.

Please help solve this SAT math problem. I have 4 more like these so need help with this so that I can solve the rest by myself.
stealth61 [152]

The notation just means

(f/g)(-4) = f(-4) / g(-4)

If f(x) = x² + 2 and g(x) = 1 - 3x, then

f(-4) = (-4)² + 2 = 16 + 2 = 18

g(-4) = 1 - 3 (-4) = 1 + 12 = 13

and so

(f/g)(-4) = 18/13
