Answer:600N/m

Explanation:  Given ;

                       Applied force(F) = 180N

                      Total extension (l) = 30cm =0.30m

                       Spring constant(K) =?

                       From Hooke's law

                         F= kx

                        therefore k= F/x

                                  k = 180N/0.3m

                                    600N/m

In the design of a supermarket, there are to be several ramps connecting different parts of the store. Customers will have to pu
tatuchka [14]

Answer:

3.90 degrees

Explanation:

Let g= 9.81 m/s2. The gravity of the 30kg grocery cart is

W = mg = 30*9.81 = 294.3 N

This gravity is split into 2 components on the ramp, 1 parallel and the other perpendicular to the ramp.

We can calculate the parallel one since it's the one that affects the force required to push up

F = WsinΘ

Since customer would not complain if the force is no more than 20N

F = 20

294.3sin\theta = 20

sin\theta = 20/294.3 = 0.068

\theta = sin^{-1}0.068 = 0.068 rad = 0.068*180/\pi \approx 3.90^0

So the ramp cannot be larger than 3.9 degrees

The mass of an object is 275.32g and its density is 7.562g/cm 3 . Calculate its volume by keeping significant figures in view.
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

36.408cm3

Explanation:

Since we acknowledge that density is d= m/v, once we switch it up to maintain v as the number to be found it will change to v=m/d. Therefore, 275.32/7.562 is 36.408 and the unit is cm cube!

Hope that helped!!

The skateboarder has a mass of 100 kg. When traveling downward from E to D, he reaches a velocity of 11 m/s. Calculate his kinet
patriot [66]

6050 J is the kinetic energy at D

<u>Explanation:</u>

In physics, the object's kinetic energy (K.E) defined as the energy it possesses during movement. It can be defined as the required work to accelerate a certain body weight in order to rest at a certain speed. When the body receives this energy as it speeds up (accelerates), it retains this energy unless speed varies. The equation is given as,

           K . E=\frac{1}{2} \times m \times v^{2}

Where,

m - mass of an object

v - velocity of the object

Here,

Given data:

m  = 100 kg

v = 11 m/s

By substituting the given values in the above equation, we get

            K . E=\frac{1}{2} \times 100 \times(11)^{2}=\frac{1}{2} \times 100 \times 121=\frac{12100}{2}=6050\ \mathrm{J}
