Society has been plagued by the notion that conflict is unhealthy and a sign of disinterest. While consistent arguments and disagreements are unhealthy, minor conflicts are actually good for relationships. After all, if you can’t debate with your partner, then they probably aren’t comfortable with you yet. There can only be so much “good” before it turns bad, and minor conflicts are an efficient way to stabilize a relationship. Another example of conflicts being beneficial is when a top-tier student gets a bad grade. They’d become encouraged to study more and realize that they can’t just slack off because they have good grades. Humanity needs conflict to stay motivated, diligent, and humble. There could only be so much good in the world.

What is fear? And why do we have it?
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

Fear (from a quick Google search): "An unpleasant feeling triggered by the perception of danger, real or imagined."

Simply put, fear keeps us safe (or at least tries to).  It helps keep us on the lookout for things that could be of harm to us.
