If I've read this correctly, it looks like this.

\dfrac{(x + 1)}{2 - \dfrac{(x + 2)}{3x}}

If that is correct, then the first step is to put the top part of the denominator over 3x

\dfrac{(x + 1)}{\dfrac{6x - (x + 2)}{3x}} = \dfrac{(x + 1)}{\dfrac{5x -2}{3x}}

What you get is
