Answer: 14.5 kg.m/s

Explanation:

Given

mass of baseball is m=0.153\ kg

The initial speed of the ball is u=-44.5\ m/s

the final speed of the ball is v=50.5\ m/s

Impulse is given as a change in the momentum

\vec{J}=\Delta \vec{P}

J=m(v-u)\\J=0.153(50.5-(44.5))\\J=0.153\times 95=14.535\ kg.m/s

Change in momentum up to 3 significant figures is 14.5 kg.m/s

Impulse applied by a bat is also the same as the change in momentum

Two sound waves, A and B, are traveling at the same speed. Wave A has a wavelength of 50 cm and a frequency of 7000 Hz. Wave B h
vekshin1

Answer:

D. 100 cm

Explanation:

The speed of a wave is the wavelength times the frequency.

v = λf

Wave A and B have the same speed, so:

λf = λf

(50 cm) (7000 Hz) = λ (3500 Hz)

λ = 100 cm

What is the best description of the end result of chemical bonding for most
forsale [732]

A. Getting a full set of valence electrons

Explanation:

The best description of the end result of chemical bonding for most atoms is the getting of a full set of valence electrons.

Atoms reacts with one another in order to complete valence electronic shell.

  • The valence electron shell is the outermost energy level of an atom.
  • It is from this energy level that electrons are lost or gained to form bonds.
  • All atoms wants to be like the noble gases whose valence electronic shell is completely filled up
  • This is the crux of chemical bonding
  • The attraction that is produced from the interaction leads to bond formation
