FITNESS Alejandro is a personal trainer. For his clients to gain the maximum benefit from their exercise, Alejandro calculates t
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

1). f^{-1}(x) = (200 - \frac{x}{0.85})

2). Inverse function represents the age of the client and 'x' represents the maximum heart rate of the client.

Step-by-step explanation:

Function representing the maximum heart rate is,

f(x) = 0.85(220 - x)

Here x = age of the client

Equation form of the function will be,

y = 0.85(220 - x)

To get the inverse of the given function, replace 'x' by 'y' and 'y' by 'x' and solve for y.

x = 0.85(220 - y)

220 - y = \frac{x}{0.85}

y = 220 - \frac{x}{0.85}

Now convert this equation into a function.

f^{-1}(x) = (200 - \frac{x}{0.85})

Here inverse function represents the age of the client and 'x' represents the maximum heart rate of the client.

A book store has twice as many history books as science books. The store has 81 history and science books altogether how many of
atroni [7]

let h= history books

science books = s

h=2s  there are 2 times as many history as science so to get them equal we double the science

h+s=81    there are 81 total history and science books

2s+s=81   substitute 2s for h in the above equation

3s = 81   combine like terms

s = 27

There are 27 science books

h=2s

h=2(27)

h=54

there are 54 history books

ExtremeBDS [4]
Ok so I will take this from the top, lets start out  with choice A (-1,-12) we will need to see if the answer is equal to A. so first lets just merge these two problems into eachother to get 4x-8=2x-10 now, after subtracting 2x from each side we get 2x-8=-10. Now, add 8 to both sides which will give us 2x=-2... now it is simple, just divide -2 by 2 to get an answer for x as -1...Answer A is the correct answer
