Answer:

 • cotx - cot2ⁿx

Step-by-step explanation:

 • Note: finding the sum not x

First rewrite the first term as:

 • 1/sin2x =
 • sinx / (sinxsin2x) =
 • sin(2x-x) / (sinxsin2x) =
 • (sin2xcosx - cosxsinx) / (sinxsin2x) =
 • (sin2xcosx)/(sinxsin2x) - (cos2xsinx)/(sinxsin2x) =
 • cosx/sinx - cos2x/sin2x =
 • cotx - cot2x

Now the sum is:

 • S = cotx - cot2x + cot2x - cot4x +... + cot2ⁿ⁻²x - cot2ⁿx =
 • cotx - cot2ⁿx

Help with 27 and 23 plzz

23. I know that there will be 5/12 ribbon left over. You would simply subtract 3/4 by 1/3. I don't know about the first part of this question though. (more like i don't remember)
27. I predict that Susan will get the greater quotient. If you divide the fraction 5/8 by 1/16 you would get 1/2. If you divide 5/8 by 1/32 you would get 1/4.
1/2 is greater than 1/4, which means that Susan has the greater quotient.

I hope this helps. Sorry about 23. Maybe someone else will answer.

Can i have some help
Leona [35]

Answer:

y = -1/3x

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of that are perpendicular lines are negative opposites of each other. If a line has a slope of 3, then a line perpendicular to it will have a slope of (-(1/3)).

Use the equation of a line in point-slope form to solve this;

y = mx + b

where "m" is the slope and "b" is the y-intercept.

Substitute the slope in;

y = (-1/3)x + b

Since it passes through the origin, then it has no y-intercept, therefore the equation of the line is;

y = -1/3x

Answer:

 33.3%

Step-by-step explanation:

The selling price of £42 is (1 +40%) times the total purchase price.

 1.40 × purchase price = £42

 purchase price = £42/1.40 = £30

The total profit is 40% of this, so is ...

 £30 × 40% = £12

The purchase price of the skirt is ...

 total cost - glove cost = skirt cost = £30 -3 = £27

The profit on the skirt is ...

 total profit - glove profit = skirt profit = £12 -100% × £3 = £9

Then the percentage profit on the skirt is ...

 skirt profit % = skirt profit / skirt cost × 100% = £9/£27 × 100% = 33.3%

The percentage profit on the cost of the skirt was 33.3%.
