How would you say President Bush felt about debates and how important they are to being a good president?

President Bush tend to be really calm and collected during debates.

Explanation:

During the campaigns before the debate, people shows higher favorability toward AL gore (Bush's political opponent). But after their debates on live televisions, more people tend to perceive Bush to be a more reliable leader than Al Gore.

All of this can be contributed to his calm and confident demeanor that he carried out throughout the debate. Even when he is bombarded with insults and criticism from Al Gore. This made Al Gore appeared more emotional and immature. Eventually, Bush managed to won that election.

I believe, ability to debate is important as a president. It will help the president to take control over every discussions that He/she's in. This will help the president to influence people and turn them into his/her favor.
