Answer:3.96 m/s

Explanation:

Given

Rock is thrown to a height of 0.8 m

We know that energy is conserved

Total Energy=kinetic Energy+Potential Energy

At bottom Kinetic Energy is maximum and Potential energy is minimum while at the top potential Energy is maximum and kinetic energy is minimum

Energy at Bottom E_b=\frac{1}{2}mv^2+0

Energy at Top E_t=0+mgh

Thus

E_t=E_b

mgh=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

v=\sqrt{2gh}

v=\sqrt{2\times 9.8\times 0.8}

v=\sqrt{15.68}

v=3.96\ m/s

Answer:

The distance is shortenend by factor .1715

Explanation:

5 n  = 1/r^2

sqrt (1/5) = r

170 n  = 1 / ( x sqrt(1/5))^2

(xsqrt 1/5)^2 = 1/170

x sqrt 1/5  = .076696

x = .1715

At what water temperature will additional heat energy need to be added before the temperature will change again?
Katyanochek1 [597]
That would be 0 degrees Celsius aka the melting point of water.... If you look at the diagram I attached you notice that at 0 degrees Celsius it is flat, this is because much heat is needed at this point for water to rise to 1 degree... It is the same for the boiling point (100)

Hope this helps! (If correct, please rank as brainliest answer) :)
